Critical independence
ABR — a non-profit organisation — is fully independent. Our critiques are unfettered by commercial or institutional considerations. In an age of shrinking diversity of media ownership — and reduced coverage of Australian writing in other publications — ABR is essential reading if you are seeking broad, independent coverage of the latest books and ideas.

In 2002 ABR welcomed La Trobe University as its Chief Sponsor. That year the National Library of Australia also became our National Sponsor.
