Across "That Very Vast Sea:" Scenes from the Life of
Manning Clark
In Adelaide and Canberra
This
lecture will portray themes, key moments, influential images and
figures in the life of Manning Clark, using a combination literary,
manuscript and other sources as well as some of the speaker's
personal contacts with Clark.
The
figure who emerges is very different from the public persona so
often celebrated or derided in Clark's own lifetime.
