Religious communities have existed within the Anglican Church in Australia and New Zealand during the last two centuries. The full range of the Religious Life is represented, with active and contemplative communities, solitaries and non-traditional communities.

There are Franciscans and Benedictines, there are Australian/ NZ branches of older English orders, and there are some that are purely Australian or New Zealand in origin.
