theatre @ risk inc is dedicated to experimenting with form & content of presentation, producing primarily Australian premieres of both local and international contemporary texts. The organisations’ mission is to produce exciting, intelligent and innovative contemporary theatrical texts from Australia and around the globe, which will challenge audiences’ expectations and open up the boundaries of what is possible in the theatre. The work is also grounded in a desire to raise theatre’s potential to not just be a medium of entertainment but a powerful instrument of protest and a driving force for social awareness.

Whitehorse Musical Theatre Inc. is a leading non-professional musical theatre group located in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. It has rehearsed and performed in the City of Whitehorse for most of its 30 years. Whitehorse Musical Theatre produces two shows each year, usually in May and October/November. Recent productions have included "Man of La Mancha", "Jesus Christ Superstar", "Nine", "Sweet Charity", "Fiddler on the Roof", "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", "The Sound of Music", “42nd Street” "Bye Bye Birdie" and the highly acclaimed “Les Misérables”.
The company performs at the Besen Centre, 87-89 Station Street, Burwood. This state of the art venue with a seating capacity of over 900, full fly tower and excellent acoustics has allowed the company to continue to produce musicals of the highest standard.
We welcome new members at all times, whether they are on stage or looking for experience in any other aspect of theatre - backstage, props, lighting, sound, scenery construction and painting, costumes, make-up, hairstyles/wigs, publicity, front of house etc.

The 'Women's Performance Project 2000' is a performance skills based workshop series facilitated, produced & directed by local Playwright & Performance Artist Aurora Van Mourik. The workshops provide a vehicle in which to develop creatively and examine depression as a topic as the women share personal stories and explore the theme of depression through voice, song, text and creative movement.
