Deleting Emails

  • Select the email required to delete by checking the tickboxes (see first screenshot)
  • Click the Delete icon delete icon
  • Once you have deleted your items, they will be located in the Trash Folder and need to be purged. (see second screenshot)
  • To delete the items located in the Trash folder click (Purge). You will see a number inside brackets (3) indicating the number of emails to remove
  • Click on purge and the emails should be removed from the server
  • Verify this my clicking the Trash folder and making sure its empty

Message Filtering

  • Message filtering – found under the options heading on the lower left hand side of the screen – can be used to automatically sort emails that match a certain criteria to be put into specific folders.
  • Select the conditions for your rule by selecting the desired option in the Match box
  • You can specify the people or words you'd like Webmail to look for in Contains section.
  • Specify the actions for your rule by selecting the desired folder in the Moved to box.

Help Screen

  • The help screen describes the basic functionality of Webmail, this can be found by clicking on the ? in the top right hand corner of the screen.

Spam Filtering

  • Spam filtering – found under the Options menu along the top of the screen – can be used to vary levels of filtering that will scan your emails and automatically move spam (or “junk”) emails that get sent to you, and put them in a specified folder

Address Book

  • The Address Book – found along the top of the screen – provides a convenient place to store contact information for easy retrieval. By filling in the fields you see, you can store a person’s contact information, this is useful for future use when sending emails, you can select individual or groups of people in your address books to either Send, CC or BCC emails to without having to individually type in each persons address manually.

Compose Mail

  • To create an email, along the top toolbar, click the Compose button.
  • In the To, Cc or BCC boxes, type the e-mail name of each recipient, separating names with a comma or a semicolon ( ; ).
  • In the Subject box, type a message title.
  • Type your message, and then click Send in the bottom right hand corner of the page.
  • You have the choice of using the address book or formatting your email by using the appropriate buttons on the screen.

Create Folders

  • To add a folder, on the menu along the top, point to Folders.
  • In the Create a Folder text box, type the name, and then select the location for the new folder.
  • To rename a folder, click the folder in the Rename Folder list and press rename
  • To delete a folder, click the folder in the Delete Folder list and press Delete

Options

  • The options screen allows you to change the basic functionality of Webmail to suit your needs, this can be found by clicking on the Options button along the top of the screen.

Calendar

  • The calendar – found by clicking the Calendar icon in the top right of the screen – can be used to aid in organizing days, you can assign jobs at an hourly basis by clicking on the particular day you would like.

To Do Lists

  • The To Do List – found by clicking the clipboard with a tick on it – is used to set reminders for yourself to do, and allows you to set a deadline for the note.
