Outlook Express 6 Basic Account Settings

 

  • Click the Start button
  • Click Programs
  • Click Outlook Express
  • Click the Tools menu, then click Accounts
  • Click the Mail tab
  • Click Add then click Mail from the pop out menu

 

In the Display name box, type the name that people will see when you send an email to them. This setting is not technical and can essentially be anything.

Click Next

Within the E-mail address box, type your email address

Click Next

For Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server, type mail.vicnet.net.au

For Outgoing mail (SMTP) server, type your ISP's outgoing mail server

Click Next

In the Account name box, type your username (the first part of your email address, the bit before the @ symbol)

Type your password in the Password box

Click Next

Click Finish
