Outlook 2003 Basic Account Settings
- Click the Start button
- Click Programs
- Click Microsoft Outlook
- Click the Tools menu
- Click E-mail Accounts

- Click Add a new e-mail account
- Click Next


- Within the Your Name box, type the name that people will see when you send an email to them. This setting is not technical and can essentially be anything.

- Within the Incoming mail server box, type mail.vicnet.net.au
- Within the Outgoing mail server box, type mail.vicnet.net.au
- type your username (generally the first part of your email address, the bit before the @ symbol) e.g. jcitizen
- Within the Password box, type your password (generally a random combination of numbers and letters totalling 8 characters)
- Click More Settings ... button
- Click on the Advanced tab
- Make sure the Leave copy a of messages on the server option is not ticked as this can cause mailbox full messages to be delivered to your mailbox.
- Click Ok
- Click Next
- Click Finish
