Macintosh OS9

about
Released in October 1999, Mac OS9 was a big leap forward over previous versions of the Mac OS. OS9 featured better security for protecting files, enhanced searching ability through Sherlock and the ability to have multiple users setup on the one computer. The new operating system also gave Apple users the chance to share files over a tcp/ip network, broadening the Mac's ability to connect with other computers while remote access make it easy to connect to the internet.
To connect to Vicnet using a Macintosh running OS9, you first need to configure the TCP/IP Control Panel. Next you will need to configure the Remote Access Control Panel. If you still cannot connect, you may need to install and configure a third party dial up program such as FreePPP.
