aboutReleased in February 2001, Mac OS X is Apple's new operating system built on a unix platform. Featuring Aqua, a new graphical interface that produces photo realistic icons, transparent windows and color roll over buttons it makes OS X look very sharp. OS X allows you to run multiple operating systems on the one computer so you can still run older programs that arent yet OS X compatible. OS X also gives the user the ability to connect to any network they wish whether it be Linux, Windows or Mac, making it very versatile and handy for work places with different types of computers.
To connect to Vicnet using a Macintosh running OSX, you first need to configure TCP/IP, then you need to configure PPP.
