Windows: Outlook

Outlook is Microsoft's personal information management program. Unlike Outlook Express, Outlook includes a diary or calendar function, task manager as well as an email component. Outlook is usually distributed as part of the Microsoft Office program suite whereas Outlook Express is a component of Internet Explorer and is installed free with Microsoft Windows 98 onwards.

Being a business oriented program, Outlook includes support for "workgroup information sharing and workflow communications, group scheduling, public folders, forms, and enhanced Internet connectivity" when connected to a Microsoft Exchange server. This functionality is known as Corporate or Workgroup mode in Outlook 2000.
