Windows: Mozilla Thunderbird

Basic Configuration

1. Click Start -> Programs -> Mozilla Thunderbird -> Mozilla Thunderbird
2. A wizard should begin to guide you through the configuration process.
   On the first screen of the wizard, ensure Email account is selected and click Next



3. Enter your name and email address into the fields as shown and click Next



4. Make sure POP is selected.
   For the Incoming & Outgoing Server enter mail.vicnet.net.au (as shown), then click Next



5. The username on this screen should already be correct, so just click Next



6. The account name should be just fine as shown or you can type in anything you desire. Click Next



7. On the account confirmation screen, check that all details are correct and click Finish



8. When prompted, enter your account password in to the box as shown, put a tick in the Use Password Manager... box and then click OK

Those are all the settings you need. Your copy of Mozilla Thunderbird is now configured for use with your VICNET email account!
