BLOCKtime Accounts

Using VICNET BLOCKTime accounts you only pay for the hours you use. If you want to take extra control of your on-line connection costs VICNET BLOCKtime accounts are designed for you. VICNET BLOCKtime accounts are also great for Internet beginners who are not sure how much time they will spend online or people who want to use the Internet for a special project.

What is a BLOCKtime Account?

BLOCKtime accounts allow you to pre-purchase a set amount of time on the Internet so you only pay for the time you use on-line. For example if you purchase a 25 hour block of time you could use 10 hours one month, 5 hours six months later, and the remaining 10 hours at any time up to 1 year from the date of purchase. Other ISP usually only allow you 3 months before your block of hours expire. For your convenience, VICNET now offers two types of block time accounts.

  • Auto renewing BLOCKtime Accounts: For people who do not want to worry about interrupted service between each block time subscription, VICNET offers auto renewing block accounts. This account is automatically renewed until we receive written, faxed, or e-mail notification from you to stop the account. You will receive an automatic e-mail notification each time your account is about to be renewed and you ONLY PAY FOR THE HOURS YOU USE.
  • Manual renewing BLOCKtime Accounts: For people who do not want to an account that automatically renews. As with the auto renewing accounts you will be notified via e-mail when your account is about to expire but VICNET will not renew your account until we have payment for the next block of time. You still ONLY PAY FOR THE HOURS YOU USE but late payment may lead to an interruption in the service.

NOTE: There is no price difference between auto renewing BLOCKtime Accounts and manual renewing BLOCKTime Accounts.

1. Bandwidth (download / upload): is measured in Kilobits per second (kbps). Downloads is the information delivered to your computer and uploads is information sent from your computer.
