an aussie cønsumer newsletter |
|
July, 2008 a web newsletter for psych cønsumers in Australia
The newsletter will be
published less frequently this year.
Stats released this
month by AIHW showed that emergency
departments of general hospitals are seeing 10% more people with m/h issues this
year. Dr Travis ( AMA Vic. president ) has said that these services are not
prepared for psychiatric patients, however few alternative options exist even in
community care. Overall , the numbers of psych. nurses and full-time
psychiatrists continues to decrease in the Victorian health sector; a bad
combination.
This *aussie cønsumer
newsletter* is always looking for people to help and contribute consumer
material. If you want to offer help, please contact us .
| 'How did I get into the world? Why was I not asked about it and why was I not informed of the rules and regulations but just thrust into the ranks as if I had been bought by a peddling shanghaier of human beings? How did I get involved in this big enterprise called actuality? Why should I be involved? Isn't it a matter of choice? And if I am compelled to be involved, where is the managerI have something to say about this. Is there no manager? To whom shall I make my complaint? ' .................. S.Kierkegaard |
