Sydney over the past 18 months and now brings her talents together in a
one-woman show accompanied by internationally and South Caulfield acclaimed
concert pianist Craig Heley.

Teamed perfectly like
coffee and cigarettes; like gin and tonic; like V.D. and a big dose of
penicillin! A dressing room encounter turns from a quiet chat with a cuppa
into a barrage of scenes and characters that Bev has run into - or had
run into her. A single mother, who's working her guts out trying to make
a living in show biz, Bev has seen a bit and has some stories to tell.
Where she's been, who with, why … and why she won't go there again.

A very little woman with a very big
voice, her stories are interwoven with classic show songs. Some you'll
recognise straight away, others have been 'adapted' to give us a more personal
experience of Bev Killick - Woman. Hollywood trash meets burlesque via
a St Kilda kitchen in this intimate evening of parody, style and laughter.
Directed by Peta Hanrahan (1998 Maverick Festival's "Dead Pan") and told
in the splendour of the Felix "Cocktail Lounge", this show comes complete
with grand piano and tragic glamour.
