Diamond Valley Bendigo Bank Vocal Eisteddfod
Winners of the 2007 Diamond Valley Aria.
The Diamond Valley Bendigo Bank Vocal Eisteddfod is a small singing competition sponsored by the Bendigo
Community Bank, consisting of five open vocal section, which is conducted over Melbourne Cup Day.
Entries are restricted with entries accepted in order of receipt.
The competition takes place in All Saints Anglican Church, Greensborough. Refreshments are provided all day for the convenience of competitors and audience. A simple lunch and a dinner will also be organised.
It is hoped that entrants will come and stay for the day and enjoy a friendly "relaxed" atmosphere (at a competition!). The adjudicator, accompanists and members of the committee will be joining competitors for the meals, so feel free to discuss any aspects of the competition or your crits. Don’t ask why you didn’t win - you might be told!
A detailed criticism will be provided by the adjudicator for competitors in each section. These will be available in the foyer at the conclusion of the section.
There will be a special $30 encouragement award for the most promising singer not placed in the first three sections.
