Our Club was founded in 1926 and was incorporated as an Association on 23 March 1988.
Fortnightly meetings are held on Thursday nights at 8.00pm.
Visitors and prospective members are welcome at these meetings, where a wide variety of angling topics are covered. Demonstrations and talks are presented throughout the year by experts on Snapper and Whiting fishing; trout fishing using either fly, lures or bait; knot tying; rod building; boat and trailer maintenance and other related topics.
Greensborough is a family club and provides an opportunity for parents and their children to participate with other families in a healthy outdoor sport. Regular family days and social events are held throughout the year. Greensborough also actively supports inter-club competitions in saltwater, surf, estuary and freshwater.
Tuition is provided in all forms of angling to those wishing to learn the basics or refine their existing techniques. We also have an extensive video collection on a variety of fishing topics and venues. Books and magazines are also available to members.
To the angler who wants to learn, we offer tuition; to the serious angler, we offer competitive angling of all types at a wide variety of venues; to the dedicated sports angler we offer the chance to fish for national records; to all members we offer Good Friendship.
