.The group was formed for Family History Groups and Historical Societies in the North East & Goulburn Valley areas of Victoria and the Riverina areas of New South Wales to have a forum to be able to help each other .

Quarterly meetings are held at the Pioneer Museum, Melbourne st, Mulwala, where each group can discuss coming events, problems, guest speakers and general happenings within the groups.
